Louise McCall, 84, of Newton, died late Tuesday, July 2, 2013, at Richland Care in Olney, IL.  She had suffered from Alzheimer's disease for the last eight years.

Visitation will be Thursday, July 11, 2013 from 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. followed by a 3:00 p.m. service in the chapel of Crain Funeral Home, Newton.  Memorials may be made to the Mound Cemetery, Willow Hill, in honor of Louise McCall.

Louise was born on November 30, 1928 in rural Willow Hill, the daughter of Ray and Naomi (Vance) Leffler.  She graduated from Newton High School in 1946.  Louise married Virgil McCall on April 5, 1947.  He preceded her in death on December 26, 1994.
She was a faithful and active member of First Baptist Church in Newton for over 50 years.

Louise will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Alan (Linda) of Sugar Land, TX, and Kim (Mary) of Marengo, IL; her five grandchildren, Charity Muhs (Dan), Jason McCall (Sara), Amy McCall Greene (Gavin), Ruth Ann McCall Akkerman (Jason), and Ross McCall; and her ten great- grandchildren, Noah, Elijah and Hannah Muhs, Alan, Sean and Devin McCall, Ella and Jack Greene, Madelyn and Adam Akkerman.

    Kim, I want to tell you and the rest of your family how truly sorry I am in hearing of the passing of your mother. I will always remember the times of sitting in her kitchen eating lunch with her and your dad when we was working in Newton. My thoughts are with you.
